Nachsorge und Gesundheitsprophylaxe
Warum erst zum Tierarzt oder Tierheilpraktiker gehen, wenn das Tier erkrankt ist?
Eine regelmäßige Pflege der Zähne, Ohren und der Krallen tragen einen großen Anteil zur Gesunderhaltung des Tieres bei.
Vor allem die Zahnpflege ist besonders wichtig. Daher biete ich als zertifizierte Tierdentalhygienikerin die Zahn- und Maulpflege ganz ohne Narkose an.
Auch Blutabnahmen führe ich, falls erforderlich, durch und schicke das Blut oder Serum zur Untersuchung ins Labor.
Beispielsweise Impftiterbestimmungen zeigen, ob das Tier noch einen ausreichenden Impfschutz besitzt, was meistens der Fall ist und eine Nachimpfung überflüssig macht.
Des Weiteren besteht die Möglichkeit Kotproben ins Labor einzuschicken, um eine überflüssige Entwurmung mit chemischen Wurmmitteln zu vermeiden. Wenn kein Befund vorliegt braucht keine Entwurkung stattfinden, was dem Darm und der Darmflora zu Gute kommt.
Es versteht sich von selbst, dass auch Urinproben eingeschickt werden können, um eventuelle Erkrankungen über den Urin zu erkennen.
